I am an E-RYT 500-Hr certified yoga teacher located in Rhinebeck, NY. I bring over twenty years of personal practice, a love of yoga philosophy and a background in movement arts and Pilates to my teaching. At the root of every class is the intention to help students tap into the sacred nature of our human experience through connection to body and breath. I offer in-person and online classes and privates. I am currently accepting new private clients around the Hudson Valley as well as monthly clients in NYC.

TEACHING STYLE/PHILOSOPHY
My group classes weave together yoga asana (physical movements/poses) with meditation and yoga philosophy. The ancient yogic texts (The Upanishads, The Yoga Sutras, The Gita…) offer remarkably relatable teachings and useful tools to help us to improve our lives and relationships and to access an inner state of calm mental clarity. Physically, students will improve muscle tone, flexibility, balance and alignment.
Private sessions focus on the unique needs of the individual(s) body and mind on the day of the session. Learn more about privates with me HERE.
My ultimate goal is to help students feel empowered to use the tools that yoga offers to generate energy, strength and spaciousness in their bodies, minds and spirits. My hope is that my classes are experienced as moving meditations, where the student is able to both embody and witness their physical experience as it happens.
“I am so grateful to have found Lea many years ago. Even though I had taken many yoga classes prior to my first class with Lea, I remember this one being different and connecting with the practice more. Her instruction, patience, knowledge and presence have kept me coming back to the practice over and over. Her online presence throughout the pandemic was incredibly supportive and encouraging, and I thank her for holding space while also providing challenges for each of us as individuals to maintain and grow our own connection to yoga.”
