GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

(All class times are EST)

ALL LEVELS YOGA, Thursdays 5-6 pm & Sundays 5-6:15 pm

Each week you will move through postures designed to open and strengthen your body while deepening and regulating your breathing to help you feel energized while also calming your nervous system. Students will learn to use their Basic Yoga skills as building blocks for more challenging poses such as inversions and arm balances. This is an All Levels class, so there will always be options for everyone, even when we tackle the more difficult poses. I give personalized cues to students who chose to keep their camera on. On Thursdays, stay on after class for a short, seated meditation from 6-6:15.  RESERVE A SPOT

ALL LEVELS FLOW, Thursdays 9-10 am (free meditation 8:30-8:50 am)

An invigorating All levels Vinyasa class with clear alignment cues, a steady and dynamic flow and a focus on physical and mental balance. Register through Jaya Yoga Center anytime before 8:30 am on class day and then get 48 hours to take the class at your convenience. BASIC YOGA, Mondays 5-6 pm

This class will leave you feeling open, energized and balanced. I will guide you through the basic postures of yoga with clear alignment cues, steady and dynamic movement and a focus on physical and mental balance. This class is intended for students with a basic familiarity with yoga asanas (the physical postures). While not intended for complete beginners, if you know what a “downward dog” is, you will be fine! The class is designed for adults however all ages are welcome. This class will be recorded (only I will appear on the recording).  The recording will be sent to all registered students the following day and will be available for 48 hrs, so you don’t need to come at 5 pm to take this class! RESERVE A SPOT


CHAIR YOGA, Tuesdays 5-6 pm & Saturdays 12-1 pm

You won’t need a mat, only a sturdy chair. You will learn simple but effective meditation and breathing techniques that you can do at home to reduce anxiety and breathe more freely. You will also be guided through gentle movements to release tension in the muscles supporting the spine and shoulders as well as more challenging balance and strengthening exercises using the support of the chair for safety and stability. Everything in this class is optional so you can do as little or as much as you like. You will leave breathing easier and feeling stronger, calmer and more at home in your body. Yoga can help to reduce depression, build muscle, increase oxygenation and circulation in the body and improve sleep. No prior experience is needed. All ages and abilities are welcome. All online classes are via Zoom.
